That was a lot of fun. Thanks for having me and thanks guod for hosting and your conducting the race. I look forward to attending more events in the future. Watching the GTR thread for that announcement.

I finished 8 laps down to the leader because I ran out of fuel....TWICE and thanks to Weasel Keeper, who pushed me back to the pit's....TWICE. My wife always told me I was hard headed.

To thank Weasel, I put him into the fence with about 20 laps to go. Sorry about that again Weasel. Ran out of talent for a second. Thanks again.

Hey, no problem Kosmo! As a staff member here I'm normally torn between running my butt off for a good finish, or helping out a fellow simmer so he will have an enjoyable experience on the SimHQ server. I've lost count of how many people over the past three years I've either helped push back to the pits or bumped off of a curb or something when they were stuck. I actually thought I heard somebody else say they were going to help you out but when I came back around I still saw you sitting there. I'd much rather have everyone have a great time than have to quit a race early on for a minor fuel mistake.

Getting into the wall near the end was probably just as much my fault. I already had front damage and was running at least a full second off my earlier pace. I could run fast in a draft, but was dog slow on my own so I was trying to stay with everyone on that restart. The slightest bit off line and I'd lose the draft so I was pushing hard...going two and three wide into the corner.

Oh well, I still had a blast and it was great running with everyone. \:\)

Sounds like it was fun. Shame I missed it, I was fast in the practise races (won them both) but just couldnt get up that early (4am) again for a race that long (that and the fact I forgot.) will go watch the replay now.
congratulations to all who think they deserve it, and better luck next year to all the coulda shoulda woulda's.

BTW, I managed a 2nd place in the New Zealand Simdy 250 (kind of happy)

BUT VERY HAPPY ABOUT SCOTT DIXON winning the big race!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
