I don't know how to explain DJ's problem with one car compared to another one.

I think that I found out what was up - I initially had the same problem as DJ.

Note to all entrants: Make sure that you have bought your car prior to installing any of the Indy equipment mods - If your car has the same nose and tail wings as depicted in my picture a few posts up, you are not properly equipped, and need to purchase the car before making modification.

If your car looks like PapaK and Vikz' pictures, then you're all set.

I just can't seem to catch a break this year when it comes to racing.
Turns out my wife and I are getting back from Disney World on that day and I won't be able to make it. "Can't we shorten our vacation by just one day honey?" just won't cut it, I'm afraid. I really enjoyed this event last year and was looking forward to it.
I highly recommend it to anyone sitting on the fence.

we sure need to devine some rules about safetycar situations, and how to handle it. I have seen in going wrong in very bad ways when I was driving V1.0 online at different servers. But if we all know how to handle it, we might have less problems then we would need.

Good point MJ. If we do without it, anyone caught out of the draft is pretty much done for the day. That is why we are running the test races this weekend.

There is definitely a problem with the Andretti Green Racing cars, but the BBS patch fixes it

After further testing: GIMMIE MY CAR BACK. The BBS patch fixes the Andretti Green Racing cars.

Edit: Actually, I'm going to go ahead and patch the server since 4 cars will be eliminated if we don't. Everyone needs it. Note that the fule fix and alternate sounds are not needed. They are for version 1.1.

Lee, good practice last night. I was chatting away with you on Team Speak most of the session, only to find out later that my PTT wasn't working. You had a question on the draft and if or test didn't answer it, yes my car experienced both a small push and a pretty good pull in the draft. I'll definitely be on Thursday (girl's night out for Mrs. Chipwich) for some more testing.

lol, I wondered why you would never answer me. That is funny...

Ya I was stunned at how hard the draft pulls you up on people, I had to apply my NASCAR skills to keep out of the back of you. I didnt get any wash, side to side push, when I would get up behind you so I was pleased with that. I would recommend that people either turn off their FFB on their wheels, or turn it way down. Last thing you want in the draft is your wheel twitching around due to the FFB.

Great time practicing last night, I will be on probably every night this week at some point.

I can't drive without FFB on full even on the ovals. No feel at all

I set it pretty light, probably around ~ 25%. That way I get a little feedback when the car is under or oversteering and for curbs, but not enough to change the steering line.

Ya me too, about 25% and on Low. Its fine if you are by yourself, but when you get around other cars and are twitching in the draft a little anyhow it always seem to kick in when you least want it to.

Just kidding! There are still a couple of weeks until the main event. I won't make the practice races this weekend because of work but I'm still running laps on weeknights and will run the main event on the 1st. You don't have to run, but it would be cool if you did.

My biggest issue is the race schedule

I work every sunday from 1:00pm until when ever I am done or 8 hours which ever comes first, and am usually not done until after 9pm. So with a 12:30 start time that gives me a 30 min race.

Not much I can do.

I'm in the process of organizing the driver's list. Will everyone please take a look at the first post in this thread, check your entry for errors, and reply hear so that I can make changes. If I have missed someone, don't panic. We'll get you in.

Well, I caný join also. I can't get TeamSpeak to work. And because that is mendatory, I can't join. I am really sad because of this, because I have been looking for a good league or Indy 500, and VMS rejected me for some reason, and the other leagues are off my schedule.
