Howdy been playing and installing the great 3rd party campaigns for this truly awesome sim.
Anyhow Playing Emils ETO 1942 campaign it seems when I am flying escort in 1942 for the Mosquitos, that the Mosquitos never fly over there target in Germany or drop there bombs somehow they miss that part, so I always get a aborted mission, anyone notice this or maybe I am missing something. I remember the stock campaign would tell me good job after the bombers dropped there bombs and would give me mission succes come home? Thanks for any info.

Lonny

Hmmmm, Lonny.
The B-26's don't go to target either in my setup.

Hi,

do this happen always or after the bombers got under presure??

There can be different reasons, like mission target out of range, mission target no valid target, Ai moral setting to low etc.

To exclude the flight/loadout files as possible reason, you can use a different set(i think there are at least two different flight file sets for this career around).

If its inside the Camp or Squad data files i cant help, have no experience regarding this.

Greetings,

Knegel

Howdy, I know the Mosquitos seem to fly fast, so they dont seem to be getting attacked to hard, if I had to guess I would think somehow that just dont act like they have a ground target locked in and just fly, dont hear them say approaching target like I use too with Stock. A play the Spitfire mostly and right now I am flying the ETO 1942-1945 and Greatshot 2 (I believe Greatshot does not effect stock campaign)back in fourth just to compare both in 1943 so I will report later if I see something that I can positively put me finger on so to speak. Thanks!

Both the Mosquito's and B-26 have this problem.
It is outside my area of expertise, but I believe it is because they will break formation and dogfight. At least the Mosquito's will.
Some German twin-engine bombers will also dogfight.

Ju88's for sure, but I think it depends on the flight file, and how they are designated as a Fighter, Bomber, which the Mosquito is supposed to be. ;\) Knegel, will probably pitch in on this thread later.

Hi,

as long as a plane got to be a fighter inside the planes.dat, they will start to break formation as soon as a enemy comes close, but thats not the current problem.
If there dont comes a "approaching target" message, it looks like a faulty missionsetup.

Knegel
