First I have been extremely busy with real life and haven't had much time in the sim. The real life issues will continue to be busy for some time, so my F4AF days are very minimal at the moment.

Ok, regarding the Dedicated Server; we are in need of the stop clock script still. I have sent a few pm's to a few individual but I have been to busy to follow up on the status.

Hi - could you please elaborate on the "stop clock script"

We have a number of dedicated servers running for the 414th Silver Dragons VFS and have experienced problems with the campaign clock running after all players have disconnected.

Does this script rectify that problem ?

If so we would be interested in some more details and possibly obtaining a copy.

Regards

Rebel

I guess you would want the server clock to stop while no one is in UI and goto x64 when player is in UI. And then have it restart the campaign twice a day. Just too much trouble to run it like MVS. Or remote control would be nice. Or maybe we should hold our breath. :P

To really do it right, you have to have 24 hur monitoring..keep the ground war goin..without the ground war there really is no air war, CAS missions won't generate unless ground troops are engaged. Nothing can take the place of 10 admins doin a couple hours a day to keep things runnin smooth

Self Frag your own missions. Have a script start a new campaign every 12 hours and be able to fast forward the clock. Don't realy care about putting campaign wins in logbook, just wait to have A/C and targets.

That really does sound like it would be cool - F4AF with everybody here. Can't wait.

And what is it that you do now Panther? I think you used to maintain F-16s, but your comment about not getting dirty suggests that your job has changed. Do you do something else now in the Air Force? Just curious. If you can't talk about your job that's cool.

Oh I still work on them plus the F-15C & E, A10C, F/A-22 & HH-60. Just in the office for the time being; there is more to turning wrenches than turning wrenches ;\)
