Maybe, but they apparently also offered Mike Lowell 45-50 million for 4 years, with the proviso that he also play first base if asked.

yeah, I heard there's 4 teams out there willing to offer Lowell that 4 yrs. I've seen many guys go for the money instead of the better team. Patriots are one of the few teams I know where good people are willing to take less for the rings

And I heard there some thick dirt on Bonds and his grand jury lies.....

And the Rockies get swept again. No Manager of the Year Award, no Rookie of the Year, no NL MVP, and not one Gold Glove for a team that set the MLB defensive record last season. The life of a small market team, I guess.

I feel your pain. Holliday deserved MVP honors and the Rockies kicked butt in fielding. Tulowitzki should have earned a gold glove with his play stealing glove.

Who got NL manager of the year? I'm stunned that the Rockies manager didn't get it.

Bob Melvin of the DBacks won NL Manager of the year. Charlie Manual of Philly was 2nd, and Hurdle came in 3rd in voting.

Robbed, shafted, however you put it, it's hard to understand how a team the sets the MLB record for fielding isn't awarded at least one Gold Glove.

Some comparisons of Gold Glove winners and Rockies contenders:
Tulowitzki vs. Rollins
Helton vs. Lee
