Does Nomar still insist on his ritualistic glove adjusting before each pitch?

If I were pitching against Nomar that glove nonsense would get into my head so bad. I'd probably just want to drill him to get him out of there sooner.

The Rockies are trying to hang in there for a wide card slot, but Matsui and Taveras are out - Taveras for the rest of the season. And I don't think the Rocks have any pitchers left on their farm teams - they've all been called up.

Nomar's the reason for baseball games are taking so long when he plays. Each at bat is ten minutes long.

It's like the Germans flying over the Channel to fight for ten minutes.

Julio Lugo as DH in tonight's 1-0 loss to Tampa Bay. Francona must have gotten a thick envelope from Fox Sports. They just gave a game away.

Damn it PhiA, you were right about Kazmir and the Red Sox losing. You should go work for ESPN and take over Peter Gammons' job.

That monkey will NEVER get off a real Red Sox fan's back.

I am still pissed off about 1997 and 2001.

True, but it's less intense now without the "1918" stigma. And every WS appearance by the Red Sox is storied in some way. So, the relatively few appearances are at least special and are embraced in a kind of maschostic way. I almost bought the 1986 Mets World Series box set, just to see the 1986 Red Sox team again. They were a great team, Bob Stanley notwithstanding.

I don't know how cubs fans deal. They have never really gotten that close to a championship.

Tampa Bay has apparently won 13 of their last 17 games and has the best offensive numbers in AL in the last couple of weeks. I hate the Rays. They blow chunks all year, and then pull this BS the last two weeks of the season.
