When doing night missions, is the airplane taxi lights bug still aparent? I always wanted to make use of the search lights with night sorties, but I never could with the taxilights always turned on the planes. Big immersion loss...

I havent touched 1946 quite yet, and I really hope, after all this time, that it has finally been resolved.

If not, why doesnt Oleg just, I dont know, disable the taxi lights ALL TOGETHOR!? Just so we can have night missions...?

couldn't agree more mate, I don't know why. Even if the lights could be activated by landing gear would be a big improvement. Oh well, just another one of those things. A fly in some very fine ointment.

It's a shame. The 'fun of the hunt' is kind of ruined by the bright green and red lights. Sort of gives away the position of the enemy, eh? \:\(

Well, the enemy always knows where you are, even if your lights are off.

It amazes me that such an awesome sim can have silly little problems like this. Simply amazing! The only solution I've found is don't fly night missions. Bummer.

dont fly night missions... It sucks...

The only way you can, is if you are flying solo and you are only doing ground attack... Cant fly with the AI though...

The AI turns its lights off whilst on an attack waypoint. Perhaps you could try a really long waypoint (similar to glider tow aircraft) on the way to the target. Maybe the next (egress) waypoint could be an attack waypoint too - make it long enough that the lights remain off until its out of the combat area. That might work.
