I've looked for points of contact for Nvidia support...

There are Nvidia Forums:

//Suggest we post facts, pics, complaints, love notes, etc., and get some recognition for "The Problem". I started a thread, but getting a response will probably be easier if others join in.//

A good tip for the nVidia programmers could be tell them:
Look men, on the left, the 71.25 drivers. The best drivers so far. No stuttering, no missing parts but buggy on BF2 and some other modern games. On the right, the 77.77 (i.e.) that works great on BF2, LOMAC, FS2004...etc, but CRAP on FB. Stuttering and missing parts.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM?
Should be easy to add the "good" lines of code on 71.25 that solves the FB problems.

Please, Papa_K. Can you put this on nVidia forums?. I´m not registered.

I suspect part of the problem may lie in the age of the IL2 engine. This has to be fixable though, either from the Maddox end or Nvidia.

The 77xx drivers do offer significant performance increases over the earlier ones, at least on more recent cards.

Not quite that simple, as those of us with SLI setups had problems with 71.25s that were resolved with the 77.xx drivers.

Well, I meant a mix of both drivers, with the best of the two worlds.
We only need one feature from 71.25. The rest can be from 77.XX.

Ok, I registered and started posting over that site. Maybe someone that cares and can do will see it.

NO sorry but this does not work anymore!
I tried this with 77.77 installed and 71.89 in the IL2 game directory and there is an nVidia OpenGL incompatibility error while trying to start IL2 and the game will not start-up.
I also tried to ask Ming but there was no comment from him so I guess he also does not know why this option does not work.

Still waiting for fix from nVidia or 1C.

Are you sure? That is not possible since nVidia changed from Detonator to Forceware, or at least is what people reply me on the Guru3D forums.

Are you using that file in your IL2 folder (from i.e. 71.25 drivers) and you have a full install of 7x.xx drivers?

Please, check it and tell us. If it works could be the holy grial!
