Oh yeah Two, count them TWO Molex power connectors to juice up the FX6800 Ultra
Better plan on a new PSU to feed its needs.

VEeeery Interesting

(Oh darn the Arte Johnson Pic didn't work)

But Shcrewy \:D

OMG! Did you see how that 16 pipe card owns that 12 pipe card?

Nope, Didn't even bother to look, as Ming says, it's "comparing apples to oranges".

My Power Supply can handle it, Can Yours?

In This Thread

Links to an article on the GeForce 6800 , you know the 12 pipeline One.

This one compares Peaches to Peaches

I won't even bother with the performance comparisons, you can look them up yourself. You might not like them though. :p

You hear lots and lots and lots...About Image Quality (IQ) with ATI around here. How it's AA is so much better, etc.

Well here they are......

I assume these Pics are from LOMAC, I don't know as I don't have it, YET. With the latest patch reports I guess I'll finally buy it.

GeForce 6800 AA disabled

RADEON X800 PRO AA disabled

Tough choice huh

Now With 4xAA

GeForce 6800

RADEON X800 PRO

You decide.

I just wonder why there are extra trees in the 1st pic that aren't in the others?

FWIW

Yes actually. I have two 420 and one 500.
I personaly believe that the FX6800 is going to be a strong HW gain for nVidia.
I'm just stating the power requirments for those running 300-350 Watt PSU's, of which many gamers I know still use. My way of saying; Get a card and a beefy PSU at the checkout \:D

That looks more like it Hunter \:\)

What's up with the background?

I mean the trees in the 1st FX6800, No AA shot and the fence in your X800 shot, different in game detail settings or.......?

FWIW, I'm not a "Fanboy" of either, I just want the best for my bucks. The FX6800 does look alot better with no AA though.

edit: Oops....Repeat after me "Read the whole Post before You Hit the Link"

Thanks

The Geforce shot was made at highest detail settings in Lock On with no AA... The comparing ATI shot was in medium settings. You'll see in both my screenshots the different level of detail provided by the sim controls even though drivers are set at high quality textures and 4 X's aa
