Lots of good stuff here, thanks guys. I defrag about once a week and I have a little tool called Ultra Win Cleaner that handles Reg, junk and temp folders for me. I was told it’s a good idea to reformat about every six months; it’s been a year now since the last time I did it. about partition, I have a single 60 Gig drive I forget the make but I know it’s 7200 speed, would you recommend splitting in half 30\30 or would it be better to split 3 ways 10 for XP\ 25\25 for programs and storage? Some one else suggested this as being a good way to isolate windows to its own drive\partition.
