Hey nice model, I cant really help you since I dont have MAX 5 or have ever used it. But it looks to me that the axis of the plane are off or something cause the wings and stuff are all over the place. Btw DO how did you get your callsign to apper on the little box on the bottem left?

OK, it appears you did not LINK any of the parts together

Normally, your fuselage is the MOTHER part and all others are children and subchildren of that.

I do it this way, I click SELECT and LINK button, I then select the lowest most part in the hierarchy, e.g aileron. I would then DRAG from the aileron to the wing part where I want it linked to. Then say select a flap and do that same, then perhaps select the wing itself and LINK to the fuselage. Continue on with all remaining parts so that they are linked logicially. When you press the H key, you should see a list of all your parts, if you select SHOW SUBLIST, it should show only 1 part at the far left side and all parts subobjects of it.

If you need anymore help, contact me at mustang60348@hotmail.com

BTW, I too am using 3ds Max 5

I can't remember if I did a tutorial for LINKING parts, hmm, I will have to look and if NOT, I will do one.

As far as texturing goes, It should only be a matter of creating a dir under your P51 for the SKIN: Look at how the game does it now. Put your SKIN in that dir. The best advice I can give is to look at how the game does it for the stock aircraft.

Linking is as simple as selecting the link tool, clicking on the child and dragging to the parent. Look to the instructions with the exporter for how the heirarchy (sp?) should look.
